Meet The Captain
Captain Pete’s Boathouse is a gigantic floating restaurant and bar on Lake Travis at Point Venture, Texas.
We love the lake, boats, beer, cold margaritas, a massive burger, and a fried catfish platter. In the sun, on the covered patio, or inside at the bar, it’s always a good time at Captain Pete’s. Rain or shine, by boat or by land, it’s the most fun to be had on Lake Travis.
We’re now open 7-days a week for lunch and dinner. Park your car and just walk out on the marina, or come by boat and pull up at the marina. If you love seafood, burgers, tacos, foot long hot dogs and drinks, then you’re going to love our menus. Chef Ben is one of the most celebrated Chef’s in the Austin and Lake Travis areas for many years. He brings his signature style to the lake once again.

The Ship’s Store
We’re happy to have Point Venture Marina’s Ship’s Store as part of our restaurant.
Come in for some snacks, ice and drinks. Or a fun Captain Pete’s T-Shirt or hat.
And bring your boat by for gas. Stop for a bite, then get back out on the lake.

Sundancer Grill, located on the other side of the lake, is our sister-restaurant servicing the Lake Travis and Lakeway areas. You’ll love the views, the big open-air space when the glass doors are open, and of course delicious food.
Cafe Blue is where you head for the best seafood and steaks in the Austin area, including our flagship location in the Hill Country Galleria and our beautiful downtown Austin location next to the Convention Center.
